Key experience: Technical and business development

33 years of International E&P experience in technical, business development and senior management functions. Trained as a geologist and petroleum engineer. Joined Shell International Petroleum in 1975 and worked in the Far East, West Africa and Europe before moving to the UK Independent sector, joining a fledgling Monument Oil and Gas plc in 1989. Bill held the position of Technical Director and latterly Business Development Director at Monument until its sale to LASMO in 1999, by which time the company had grown into the 3rd largest UK Independent with interests in the N.Sea, S.America, N.Africa, Central Asia and the Far East. Since 2000, Bill has held a variety of senior management and advisory positions in the UK and US Independent sector, focussed primarily in NW Europe and the Middle East and has more recently established Guest & Associates to provide international business development advisory services to the upstream sector.
